I sassi sono selezionati dall’artista in base alla loro forma particolare, che ispira la realizzazione una determinata opera.

Ogni sasso viene accuratamente lavato con acqua e sapone e fatto asciugare.

The stones are selected by the artist on the basis of their particular shape, inspiring the creation of a given work. Each stone is carefully cleansed with soap and water and then dried.

In seguito, l’artista disegna a matita sul sasso  l’animale, la casa o la figura che la forma della pietra le aveva ispirato.

La pittura viene poi eseguita con colori acrilici brillanti e resistenti.

 Subsequently, the artist pencil sketches the animal, house or figure that the shape has inspired, on the stone. The painting is then completed in bright, resistant acrylics.

Una volta asciugata la figura dipinta, l’artista provvede a dare una mano di trasparente lucido protettivo sul sasso, a numerare ed a firmare posteriormente l’opera.

Once the subject has dried, the artist coats the stone with clear, protective gloss varnish then numbers and signs the work on the back.

Le vernici usate sono inodori ed atossiche. Gli oggetti dipinti possono essere puliti con un panno morbido o un pennello, senza utilizzare detergenti aggressivi.

The paints and varnishes used are odourless and non-toxic. The painted objects may be cleaned with a soft cloth or brush, without using aggressive detergents.
